FREE Webinar: "Less Stress, More Grass by Managing Holistically"

  • West Yorkshire United Kingdom (map)

The Tallgrass Network is excited to share this opportunity to join the United Kingdom Savory Hub, 3LM, for this FREE webinar! It will feature Savory Institute Accredited Professional Phyllis Van Amburgh, who will discuss recent research results from her farm, Dharma Lea, in upstate New York.

Learn how Organic dairy farm Dharma Lea experienced economic, social and ecological benefits when making the switch from rotational grazing to holistic planned grazing. Improvements over four years included a huge increase in grass production, a huge improvement in livestock health, a large reduction in feeding costs, improved milk quality, significantly better quality of life for the entire family, and improved financial position.

According to new research from the University of Albany, conducted at Dharma Lea:

Holistically-managed pastures had 1.5 and 4.5 times higher average abundances of obligate grassland birds than minimally rotated or continuously grazed pastures, respectively.

Register for the webinar at the 3LM website, or email juliem@tallgrassnetwork.com for assistance. This online event will be at 1 pm UTC in the United Kingdom, which is 7 am CST in the US.
